Councilmember D~Luca introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89-06-136 <br /> <br />RESOLUTI©N AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PARK EQUIPMENT FOR AUTUMN <br />HEIGHTS PARK <br /> <br /> WI-tEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey has approved the 1989 Parks <br />Capital Improvements Budget which includes $3,000.00 plus overhead for purchase of <br />playground equipment for Autumn Heights Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said funds, overhead, and contingency (the total amount not to exceed <br />$3,900.00) are to be appropriated from the General Fund 1989 Budget for Parks Capital <br />Improvements; .~n~{ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission, at their June 8, 1989 <br />meeling, recommended the purchase of "Landscape Structures" Model 8986 (formerly Model <br />8742) at ~, wholo,,~ale list price of $2,701.00. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, /~N©KA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> ~ ) That City Staff is directed to purchase said equipment in accordance with <br />Cily purchasir~g procedures. <br /> <br /> ;! ) 1'hat City Staff is directed to enlist the help of volunteer groups to the <br />extent possible fo~ installing the equipment at the park. <br /> <br /> ?;) That Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. provide a layout sketch for <br />placement o,~ :!h,'~. er'.luipment at the park. <br /> <br /> 4. ) 1hat purchase of sand or pea rock and border timbers are hereby <br />authorized, if ri~ce~;sary, to provide a resilient surface under and around the play apparatus. <br /> <br />The motion ~;or tim adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Pearson aud ~p,.'~¢~ vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor P, eir.,~ann <br />Courl¢ilmeu'ff'~er DeLuca <br />Councih-...,~er~ber Pearson <br />ColJr~cilrr~ei'~iber Cich <br />Counoiln'~e~,'~ber Peterson <br /> <br />and lhe followin.q voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
