<br />Councilmember Howell introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #23-236 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2023 <br />ADDITIONAL PAVEMENT MARKING IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #23-18 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, visible pavement marking is a critical component of driver and pedestrian safety and <br />are a required maintenance operation per MSA rules and standards; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, 2023 street patching projects impacted the pavement markings on numerous street <br />segments across the City; and <br /> <br />WHERAS, City Staff has prepared plans and specifications for Improvement Project #23-18, 2023 <br />Additional Pavement Marking Improvements; and <br /> <br />WHERAS, requests for proposals were submitted to five (5) firms for the purpose of obtaining <br />quotes for completing the proposed pavement marking improvements; and <br /> <br />WHERAS, the one (1) proposal received is tabulated below; and <br /> <br />PROPOSALS RECIEVED <br />Contractor Total Quote <br />Sir Lines-A-Lot $36,390.38 <br /> <br />WHERAS, the quote of Sir Lines-A-Lot, in the total amount of $36,390.38 for said services in <br />accordance with the prepared proposals is the lowest responsible quote and their quote shall be and hereby <br />is accepted. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Sir Lines-A-Lot for said pavement marking services for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Musgrove, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Olson <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />
