Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #01 - - 232 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0558 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FROM ROGER AND SUE BUTLER FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />TO EXCEED THE MAXIMUM ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SPACE REQUIREMENTS, <br />WHEREAS, Roger and Sue Butler, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicants," have <br />properly applied for a Conditional Use Permit to exceed the maximum accessory structure space <br />footage restrictions on the property generally known as 16351 Azurite St. N.W. and legally <br />described as follows: <br />Unplatted Ramsey Township that part of the east 220 feet of the west 440 feet of <br />the south 200 feet of the north 638 feet of the east half of the northeast quarter of <br />Section 15, Township 32, Range 25, subject to easement over the west 33 feet <br />thereof, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />( "Subject Property ") <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br />1. That the Applicant appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code on June 5, 2001, and that said public hearing <br />was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated <br />by reference. <br />2. That the Subject Property is approximately 37,400 square feet or .86 acres in size. <br />3. That Section 9.11.02 (Accessory Uses), Subd. 12 (Size Restrictions and Performance <br />Standards for Accessory Buildings in Residential Districts) allows up to 3 accessory <br />buildings not exceeding a total of 1,488 square feet on the Subject Property. <br />4. That there is a 528 square foot attached garage and a 624 square foot detached garage <br />currently existing on the property for a total of 1,152 square feet of accessory structure space. <br />5. That the Subject Property is eligible for an additional 336 square feet of accessory structure <br />space. <br />6. That the Applicants are proposing to add a third detached garage measuring 960 square feet <br />to the Subject Property, which will result in a 624 square foot overage in the amount of <br />accessory structure space permitted. <br />• 7. That the Applicants have stated that the accessory building will be for storage of a <br />recreational vehicle and other personal vehicles and equipment, and that no commercial <br />activity will be conducted in the building. <br />
