• Councilmember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #01 -12 -447 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HIRING OF BRIAN IHNOT TO FULL -TIME AUTO MECHANIC WHEREAS, on September 14, 1999, the City Council authorized hiring Brian Ihnot as a part -time auto mechanic; and WHEREAS, on June 13, 2000, the City Council authorized increasing the part-time auto mechanic's hours to twenty (20) hours per week; and WHEREAS, on December 11, 2001, the City Council authorized an additional twenty (20) hours per week for an auto mechanic as approved under the 2002 budget; and and WHEREAS, the additional opportunity was posted internally for five (5) business days; WHEREAS, Brian Ihnot, the City of Ramsey's current part-time auto mechanic, was the only individual to express an interest in these hours and with these additional hours, Mr. Ihnot would become a full -tinge employee; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at its December 18, 2001, meeting agreed with the staff recommendation to grant Brian Ihnot the additional twenty (20) hours to become a full - time auto mechanic effective January 1, 2002. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to grant Brian Ihnot the additional twenty (20) hours thereby making him a full -time auto mechanic effective January 1, 2002. 2) That in his new position as a full -time auto mechanic, Mr. Ilmot will be compensated at an annual rate consistent with the union contract and two weeks of vacation and be required to complete a six month probationary period. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Anderson Councilmember Kurak Councilmember Hendriksen Counci!member Zimmerman
