CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted the annual Truth in Taxation Public Hearing (a.k.a. Budget <br />Public Hearing) on Monday, December 6, 1999, in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas G. Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br /> <br />Member Absent: Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the annual Truth in Taxation public hearing to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec announced that the Truth in Taxation is an annual meeting that is mandated by <br />State Statutes and is a review of the proposed budget for year 2000. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman gave an overview of the truth-in-taxation process and the budgeting <br />process and gave a brief understanding of what the City's tax part is. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund gave an overview of the budget, which included additional personnel, <br />equipment, etc. She noted that the expenditures equaling revenue is a balanced budget. She then <br />listed the revenues. The expenditures are $5,181,785. She showed where the dollars are spent. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec thanked staff. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen and seconded by Councilmember Conn°lly to adjourn <br />the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly and <br />Anderson. Voting No: None.
