Councilmember Petcrson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-04-074 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g91-14 SCHEDULE D (BITUMINOUS SURFACING <br />OF CENTRAL PARK PARKING LOT) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution #92-03-039 authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of bituminous <br />surfacing of Central Park parking lot, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: <br /> <br />Bidder <br />Bauerly Bros., Inc <br />GMH Asphalt Corp. <br />W. B. Miller, Inc. <br />Alber Construction <br />Ryan Contracting, Inc. <br />Valley Paving, Inc. <br />Northwest Asphalt, Inc. <br />Barber Construction, Inc. <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> $26,259.50 <br /> $27,492.00 <br /> $28,130.00 <br /> $29,435.00 <br /> $30,450.00 <br /> $28,927.50 <br /> $33,422.50 <br /> $38,178.50 <br /> <br />Engineer's Estimate <br /> <br />$33,350.00 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Bauefly Bros., Inc is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Bauerly Bros., Inc in the name of the City of Ramsey for the bituminous <br />surfacing of the Central Park parking lot in the amount of $26,259.50. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
