Councilmember Petcrson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-04-074 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g91-14 SCHEDULE D (BITUMINOUS SURFACING OF CENTRAL PARK PARKING LOT) WHEREAS, Resolution #92-03-039 authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of bituminous surfacing of Central Park parking lot, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: Bidder Bauerly Bros., Inc GMH Asphalt Corp. W. B. Miller, Inc. Alber Construction Ryan Contracting, Inc. Valley Paving, Inc. Northwest Asphalt, Inc. Barber Construction, Inc. Amount of Bid $26,259.50 $27,492.00 $28,130.00 $29,435.00 $30,450.00 $28,927.50 $33,422.50 $38,178.50 Engineer's Estimate $33,350.00 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Bauefly Bros., Inc is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Bauerly Bros., Inc in the name of the City of Ramsey for the bituminous surfacing of the Central Park parking lot in the amount of $26,259.50. 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Hardin Councilmember Beyer and the following voted against the same: None
