Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-06-148 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT #3 TO ESTABLISH A BUDGET FOR THE 1992 RAMSEY CLEAN-UP DAY WHEREAS, at the Budget Committee meeting of March 19, 1992, Staff requested authorization to proceed with plans for the 1992 Ramsey Clean-up Day scheduled for May 2, 1992; and WHEREAS, Staff recommended the following budget for Clean-up Day: Landfill loads: 1600 yards @ $4.92/yard Roadside pickup bags Printing of permits $7,872.00 100.00 75.00 Total recommended budget - expenditures in excess of revenues - not-to-exceed $8,047.00 The total recommended budget does not include the cost of Staff time for the planning of these activities, and the day of the event (May 2, 1992) will be staffed with volunteers; and WHEREAS, Staff further recommended the following charges to residents be made: Permits issued on April 25 and May I for one load per household No charge Permits issued on Clean-up Day at the landfill for one load per household $5.00 each Major appliances $8.00 each Car tires $2.00 each Other tires Based on size and weight and advised that Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc.'s charge to the City will be $8.00 per appliance and $1.00 per car tire with other tires charged based on size and weight; and WHEREAS, the Budget Committee was in agreement with Staffs recommendations and, as the Clean-up Day activities meet the requirements for expenditures from the Landfill Tipping Fee Fund o Restricted Portion, recommends the Ramsey City Council approve funding this event in an amount not to exceed Eight Thousand Forty-Seven and No/100 Dollars ($8,047.00) with the funding source the Landfill Tipping Fee Fund. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby establishes an expenditure budget in the amount of $8,047.00 for the 1992 Ramsey Clean-up Day within the Landfill Tipping Fee Fund - Restricted Portion. 2) That the Finance Officer is hereby instructed to enter this Budget Amendment #3 to the City's financial system to cause this amendment to be reflected in the City's financial records. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.'
