Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-06-148 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT #3 TO ESTABLISH A <br />BUDGET FOR THE 1992 RAMSEY CLEAN-UP DAY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the Budget Committee meeting of March 19, 1992, Staff requested authorization <br />to proceed with plans for the 1992 Ramsey Clean-up Day scheduled for May 2, 1992; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommended the following budget for Clean-up Day: <br /> <br />Landfill loads: 1600 yards @ $4.92/yard <br />Roadside pickup bags <br />Printing of permits <br /> <br />$7,872.00 <br /> 100.00 <br /> 75.00 <br /> <br />Total recommended budget - expenditures in excess of <br /> revenues - not-to-exceed <br /> <br />$8,047.00 <br /> <br />The total recommended budget does not include the cost of Staff time for the planning of these activities, <br />and the day of the event (May 2, 1992) will be staffed with volunteers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff further recommended the following charges to residents be made: <br /> <br />Permits issued on April 25 and May I for one load per household No charge <br />Permits issued on Clean-up Day at the landfill for one load per household $5.00 each <br />Major appliances $8.00 each <br />Car tires $2.00 each <br />Other tires Based on size and weight <br /> <br />and advised that Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc.'s charge to the City will be $8.00 per appliance <br />and $1.00 per car tire with other tires charged based on size and weight; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Budget Committee was in agreement with Staffs recommendations and, as the <br />Clean-up Day activities meet the requirements for expenditures from the Landfill Tipping Fee Fund o <br />Restricted Portion, recommends the Ramsey City Council approve funding this event in an amount not to <br />exceed Eight Thousand Forty-Seven and No/100 Dollars ($8,047.00) with the funding source the Landfill <br />Tipping Fee Fund. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby establishes an expenditure budget in the amount of <br />$8,047.00 for the 1992 Ramsey Clean-up Day within the Landfill Tipping Fee Fund - Restricted <br />Portion. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Finance Officer is hereby instructed to enter this Budget Amendment #3 to the City's <br />financial system to cause this amendment to be reflected in the City's financial records. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br /> <br />
