Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #94-09-171 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF FUND #604 RECYCLING ENTERPRISE FUND IN THE CITY'S FINANCIAL SYSTEM AS THE WHEREAS, at the August 22, 1994, regular City Council meeting, the City Council adopted Ordinance #94-09 which amended Chapter 5 of the City Code, adding Section 5.13.07 which will be known as the Recycling Rates and Charges section of the City Code; and WHEREAS, Section 5.13.07 allows the establishment of a recycling charge that will be set from time to time by Council resolution; and WHEREAS, at the August 22, 1994, Finance Committee meeting, the Committee approved establishment Of a recycling charge for residential curbside recycling which would make the program self- supporting; and WHEREAS, at the August 22, 1994, regular City Council meeting, the City Council ratified the Finance Committees actions by adopting a resolution which establishes a self-supporting recycling charge; and WHEREAS, a self-supporting activity shall be accounted for in its own enterprise fund. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the establishment of a new City Fund #604 entitled .Recycling Enterprise Fund for the purpose of accounting for all revenues and expenditures a~ssociated with the City curbside recycling and abatement activities within the City of Ramsey. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Peterson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Counciimember Hardin Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: Councilmember Beyer whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the RBmsey City Council this the 12th day of September, 1994../7 ~5~7"'/~'~ M/~47r .........
