Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #95-02-048 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR ONE <br />COMMERCIAL TURF MOWER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, included in the 1995 Adopted General Fund Budget is $26,500.00 for the <br />purchase of one commercial tuff mower;, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on January 24, 1995 the Finance Committee recommended that bids be <br />solicited for one commercial tuff mower; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a resolution was adopted by the Ramsey City Council on January 24, 1995 <br />authorizing the advertisement for bids for the the commercial turf mower; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the purchase of one commercial <br />turf mower, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on February 17, 1995; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following bids were received: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />North Star Turf Inc. <br /> <br />Midwest Specialty Sales <br /> <br />$32,597 (new mower) <br />no bid (demo model) <br />$25,900 (new mower) <br />$24,400 (demo model) <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Midwest Specialty Sales is the lowest responsible <br />bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Parks/Utilities Supervisor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement for the <br />purchase of the specified demonstration commercial turf mower. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Finance Officer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder shall be <br />retained until the product is delivered and accepted by the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The motion for the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution #95-02.048 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
