Councilmember Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION g96-03-060 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCY DINNER AMENDMENT ALLOCATING $2,100 FOR VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION WHEREAS, the City Council has expressed an interest in formally recognizing the valuable service commission members provide to the City; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that this will be done by the Mayor and City Council hosting an appreciation dinner to carry out this recognition; and WHEREAS, it is anticipated that an event such as this will cost approximately $2,100; and WHEREAS, no funding was provided for in the 1996 Adopted General Fund Budget for an event such as this; and WHEREAS, the City Council has the ability to provide funding for this event through a re-allocation of the Council Contingency within the 1996 Adopted General Fund Budget. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment allocating $2,100 from the Council Contingency Fund for a volunteer appreciation dinner.
