Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:

<br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
<br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #94-16 (SANITARY SEWER, WATERMAIN,
<br />STORM SEWER, AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS TO SUNWOOD DRIVE
<br />EAST)
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Resolution//96-04-075, dated April 9, 1996, authorized the preparation of
<br />plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the sanitary sewer, watermain,
<br />storm sewer, and street improvements to Sunwood Drive East, bids were received, opened on May
<br />8, 1996, and tabulated according to law; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received:

<br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Ryan Contracting, Inc. is the lowest responsible
<br />bidder.

<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA:
<br />
<br />1)
<br />
<br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
<br />contract with Ryan Contracting, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the sanitary
<br />sewer, watermain, storm sewer, and street improvements of Sunwood Drive East in the
<br />amount of 952,945.86.
<br />
<br />2)
<br />
<br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders
<br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the
<br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
<br />
<br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
<br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
