Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #99-12~217 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CLIMB THEATER APPLICATION FOR PREMISE <br />PERMITS FOR LAWFUL GAMBLING AT DIAMONDS SPORTS BAR AND GRILL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Climb Theater has applied for a premise permit for gambling at <br />Diamonds Sports Bar and Grill, 7550 Highway 10, Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Climb Theater provides opportunities and services to the residents of <br />Ramsey with monies derived from lawful gambling operations; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Climb Theater has requested Council waive the 30-day notice <br />provision; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board Division of the Department of Gaming <br />requires the City of Ramsey adopt a resolution specifically approving or denying the application. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the premise permit application for the <br />Climb Theater to operate lawful gambling at Diamonds Sports Bar and Grill, 7550 <br />Highway 10, Ramsey. <br /> <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council agrees to waive the 30-day notice provision. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator or Finance <br />Officer to sign the application and any other documents required by the Minnesota <br />Gambling Control Board. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Connolly, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councihnember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Connolly <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
