Councilmember Howell introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
<br /> RESOLUTION #24-235
<br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT NO. 2 TO DAVE PERKINS
<br /> CONTRACTING, INC. FOR HALLS DOVER ACRES STREET RECONSTRUCTION,
<br /> IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-02
<br /> WHEREAS,the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct the streets within the Halls Dover
<br /> Acres subdivision; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 423-130, adopted June 13,
<br /> 2023,the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Bolton&Menk,Inc.,for topographic
<br /> survey of the project area; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 423-129, adopted June 27,
<br /> 2023, the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Chosen Valley Testing, Inc., for a
<br /> geotechnical report of the project area; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 423-198, adopted August 22,
<br /> 2023, the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for said
<br /> improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 424-014, adopted on January
<br /> 9, 2024, the City Council approved final plans and specification as prepared by the City Engineer
<br /> and authorized advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS, proposals were received for Construction Staking and As-built Survey of
<br /> $27,144.00 from Bolton and Menk, Inc. for said improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 424-064, adopted February 27,
<br /> 2024, a contract was awarded to Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc of Nowthen, Minnesota, in the
<br /> amount of$844,919.01 for said improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS, as of August 27, 2024 $260,058.22 has been paid to date; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and
<br /> recommends partial payment No. 2 to Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. of Nowthen Minnesota,
<br /> for improvement project 424-02 Halls Dover Acres Street Reconstruction, in the amount of
<br /> $484,965.31.
<br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA:
<br /> 1) The City Council hereby authorizes partial payment No. 2 to Dave Perkins Contracting,
<br /> Inc of Nowthen, Minnesota for Improvement Project 424-02, Halls Dover Acres Street
<br /> Reconstruction in the amount of$484,965.31.
