<br />Councilmember Stewart introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #25-023 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO NORTH VALLEY, INC. FOR 2024 <br />NEIGHBORHOOD PAVEMENT OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #24-07 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to overlay the pavement on numerous public <br />street segments in 2024 as identified within the 2024 – 2033 Capital Improvement Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-281, adopted November <br />14, 2023, the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Bolton & Menk, Inc., for <br />topographic survey of the pedestrian ramps within the project area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-299, adopted on November <br />14, 2023, the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for 2024 <br />Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #24-07; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-110, adopted on April 23, <br />2024, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer <br />and authorized advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-156, adopted June 11, <br />2024, a contract was awarded to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, in the amount of <br />$1,562,549.03 for said improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as of January 28, 2025 $1,630,950.69. has been paid to date; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends final payment to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, for improvement project <br />#24-07, 2024 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements, in the amount of $26,156.47. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) The City Council hereby authorizes final payment to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, <br />Minnesota for Improvement Project #24-07, 2024 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay <br />Improvements in the amount of $26,156.47. <br /> <br />2) The City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor and City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) The total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payments of bills <br />for the date of January 28, 2025. <br /> <br /> <br />
