<br />Councilmember Stewart introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:

<br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO NORTH VALLEY, INC. FOR
<br />STRD
<br />JUNIPER WOODS 1 – 3 STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS, IMPROVEMENT
<br />PROJECT #24-12
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct the streets within the Juniper
<br />stndrd
<br />Woods 1, 2, and 3 subdivision as identified within the 2023 – 2032 10-Year Capital
<br />Improvement Program; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-130, adopted June 13,
<br />2023, the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Bolton & Menk, Inc., for topographic
<br />survey of the project area; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-129, adopted June 27,
<br />2023, the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Independent Testing Technologies,
<br />Inc., for a geotechnical report of the project area; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-202, adopted August 22,
<br />2023, the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for Juniper
<br />strd
<br />Woods 1 – 3 Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #24-12; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-042, adopted January 23,
<br />2024 the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer
<br />and authorized advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, proposals were received for Construction Staking and As-built Survey of
<br />$12,024.00 from Bolton and Menk, Inc. for said improvements; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Resolution #24-070, adopted March 12, 2024, a
<br />contract was awarded to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, in the amount of $412,370.09
<br />for said improvements; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, as of January 28, 2025 $428,922.61 has been paid to date; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and
<br />recommends final payment to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, for improvement project
<br />strd
<br />#24-12, Juniper Woods 1 – 3 Street Reconstruction, in the amount of $5,099.07.
<br />
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA:

<br />1) The City Council hereby authorizes final payment to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen,
<br />strd
<br />Minnesota for Improvement Project #24-12, Juniper Woods 1 – 3 Street Reconstruction
<br />in the amount of $5,099.07.
