<br />CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Special Work Session on Tuesday, March 18, <br />2025, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Ryan Heineman <br />Councilmember Kirsten Buscher <br />Councilmember Michael Olson <br />Councilmember Eric Peters <br />Councilmember Chris Riley <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Dan Specht <br /> Councilmember Shanna Stewart <br /> <br /> <br />Also Present: Administrative Services Director Colleen Lasher <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Heineman called the City Council Special Work Session to order at 6:35 p.m. <br /> <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />2.01: City Board and Commission Interviews <br /> <br />Administrative Services Director Lasher stated that there will be five interviews this evening for <br />various Boards and Commissions. <br /> <br />The Council conducted the remaining interviews of the candidates for various vacant positions on <br />different City Boards and Commissions, asking the same questions of each applicant. <br /> <br />Administrative Services Director Lasher stated that there are two partial terms and one full term <br />open on the Planning Commission, one partial term on the Economic Development Authority, and <br />one full term on the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Council was to reappoint the incumbents. The Council agreed to appoint <br />Hannah Karpen (one-year term) to the Economic Development Authority. There was also <br />consensus to appoint Debra Musgrove (four-year term), Jeffrey Lubarski (two-year term), and <br />Nichole Rudack (two-year term) to the Planning Commission, and to appoint Garth Andersen <br />(four- year term) to the Park and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />3.
