Ramsey <br />Municipal Center is located between Ramsey and Armstrong <br />Boulevards, just north of Highway 10 on Sunwood Drive. <br />City Hall, Police Department, and Fire Administration are now <br />all located in the new building. All phone numbers and email <br />addresses remain the same. <br />The new Municipal Center is a customer service friendly <br />facility and uses the latest technologies in energy efficiency. <br />Transaction windows are located on the ground floor at Build- <br />ing Inspections and Fire Administration for permits. <br />Five conference rooms are available for use by civic <br />organizations. The largest meeting space, the Alexander <br />Ramsey Room, has a capacity of 175 (seated) people. Other <br />smaller conference rooms, which have a capacity of up to 12 <br />people, include the Mississippi River Room, the Rum River <br />Room, The Lal(e Itasca Room, and the Trott Brool( Room. If <br />your civic or non-profit group would lil(e more information <br />regarding the use of one of the new public meeting spaces, <br />contact the Ramsey Municipal Center at 763-427-1410. <br />The first public meeting in the new Municipal Center <br />is tentatively scheduled to be the regular City Council meeting <br />on Tuesday, December 12. After that date, all public meetings <br />that were previously held at Fire Station #1 will be held in the <br />new facility. <br />Fire Station #2 will remain at its current location, <br />15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, until a replacement plan is <br />adopted. <br />An Open House to dedicate Ramsey's new Municipal <br />Center is scheduled for December 20, from 3:30 - 7:00 pm. <br />Tours of the new building will be available and a brief program <br />will take place at 6:00 pm. <br /> <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey <br />Announces Bus Service <br />from the New Municipal <br />Parking Ramp: <br />Ramsey Star Express <br /> <br />The much anticipated commuter coach line, <br />Ramsey Star Express, is still on track to begin opera- <br />tion in December 2006/January 2007. Final details <br />are currently being attended to and a start date will <br />be announced in the very near future. On November <br />2, the city of Ramsey hosted the Northstar Corridor <br />Development Authority (NCDA) Board Meeting in <br />the Alexander Ramsey Room in the new Municipal <br />Center. During that meeting, the NCDA Board ap- <br />proved the joint powers agreement between the city of <br />Ramsey and the NCDA to provide operational services <br />for the Ramsey Star Express. <br />The Ramsey Star Express will provide service from <br />the new Municipal Parking Ramp located in Ramsey <br />Town Center along Sunwood Drive, between Ramsey <br />and Armstrong Boulevards, just north of Highway 10. <br />The Ramsey Star Express is a new bus service from <br />Ramsey Town Center to Downtown Minneapolis (5th <br />Street Garage). Fares will be $4.50 one-way with four <br />trips in the morning and four return trips in the after- <br />noon/evening.
