CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Heineman called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />2.01: Improve the Image of Ramsey Along the Highway 10 Corridor Discussion <br /> <br />Planning Manager Larson discussed the state's $138 million investment and the need to improve <br />the area's cleanliness and tidiness. He listed various issues, including shipping containers, tires, <br />and unauthorized storage yards, and outlined a plan to work with different departments to address <br />these issues. The plan used a systematic approach, starting at one end of the city and working <br />toward the other, to ensure thorough enforcement. <br /> <br />Councilmember Riley questioned the efficiency of starting at one end, citing perceived selectivity. <br /> <br />Planning Manager Larson explained the benefits of a systematic approach, noting that it will be <br />more efficient and fairer. <br /> <br />Councilmember Stewart inquired about notifications to businesses. <br /> <br />Planning Manager Larson confirmed that letters would be sent informing businesses about the <br />council’s goals and the need for compliance. <br />City Council Work Session / February 10, 2026 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
