Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #26-054 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PROPOSALS FOR 2026 GEOTECHNICAL AND <br />CONSTRUCTION TESTING SERVICES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all improvements installed in the city, which are to become publicly owned <br />and maintained, are to be inspected and tested by a city approved geotechnical firm; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, request for proposals were submitted to four (4) firms for the purpose of <br />obtaining quotes for completing the proposed geotechnical and construction testing services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, city staff rated the proposals for selection based on key personal, experience, <br />costs, accessibility, sample work plan, and references; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposals received are tabulated below; and <br /> <br />Firm Average Score (1-100) <br />American Engineering Testing 96.73 <br />Braun Intertec 96.1 <br />Haugo Geotechnical Services 69.75 <br />Independent Testing Technologies, Inc. 69.3 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the proposal of American Engineering Testing for said services in <br />accordance with the prepared proposal was found to be the highest rated and their proposal shall <br />be and hereby is accepted. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are herby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with American Engineering Testing for said geotechnical and construction testing <br />services for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Buscher, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Heineman <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Buscher <br /> Councilmember Peters <br /> Councilmember Stewart <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
