<br />Councilmember Peters introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #26-069 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE A <br />GRANT AGREEMENT AND ANY AMENDMENTS FOR THE 2026-2028 CRISIS <br />RESPONSE GRANT PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Justice Programs, has <br />issued a Request for Proposals for the 2026-2028 Crisis Response Grant Program; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, and the City of Ramsey is eligible to apply for grant funding as a local unit <br />of government; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, and the purpose of the Crisis Response Grant Program is to support local <br />governments in developing, expanding, or maintaining crisis response services that improve safety <br />and connect individuals in crisis with appropriate support; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, and the City of Ramsey Police Department desires to submit an application <br />for funding under this program and, if awarded, enter into a grant agreement with the State of <br />Minnesota; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, and the grant application and any resulting grant agreement require <br />designation of an authorized official to execute the grant and any subsequent amendments on <br />behalf of the City; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) The City Council authorized submission of a grant application to the Minnesota <br />Department of Public Safety, Office of Justice Programs, for the 2026-2028 Crisis <br />Response Grant Program. <br />2) The City Administrator is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of <br />Ramsey, the grant agreement, certifications, and all related documents required to <br />accept grant funding if awarded. <br />3) The City Administrator is further authorized to execute any amendments, <br />modifications, or extensions to the grant agreement, provided such amendments do not <br />materially alter the scope or intent of the project approved by the City Council. <br />4) The City Council hereby approves a Letter of Support expressing the full support of <br />the City Council for the Police Department’s application to the 2026-2028 Crisis <br />Response Grant Program and authorizes the Mayor to sign the Letter of Support on <br />behalf of the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
