ORDINANCE #26-14 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SALARY INCREASE FOR THE MAYOR AND <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1.AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the Charter of the City of Ramsey, <br />Section 2.7 and Minnesota Statute 415.11 <br />SECTION 2.PURPOSE <br />It is the purpose of this Ordinance to authorize a salary increase for the mayor and city council <br />members. The last such salary increase occurred in 2005. <br />SECTION 3. AMENDMENT <br />Mayor.The salary of the Mayor of the City of Ramsey shall be $1,000.00per month <br />($12,000 per year) effective January 1, 2027. <br />City Council. The salary of each Council member of the City of Ramsey shall be $833.33per <br />month ($10,000 per year) effective January 1, 2027. <br />SECTION 4.EFFECTIVE DATE <br />This Ordinance becomes effectiveon January 1, 2027, subject to City Charter Section 5.07. <br />th <br />PASSED by the City Council of theCity of Ramsey, Minnesota the28day of July2026. <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />
