ORDINANCE #26-15 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 (FIRE PREVENTION AND <br />PROTECTION) <br />The City of Ramsey Ordains: <br />Underlined text is inserted into City Code. <br />Strikethrough text is deleted from City Code. <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the Charter of the City of Ramsey, <br />Minnestoa Statute 299F.011, and Minnesota Rules chapter 7511. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 22 (FIRE PREVENTION AND <br />PROTECTION) <br />The following portion of Chapter 22, (Fire Prevention and Protection), is amended as follows: <br />Sec. 22-1. - Fire department. <br />(a) Creation. There is established in the city a fire department consisting of paid on -call <br />staff and full-time staff. <br />(b) Purpose. The fire department shall be established for the purpose of the protection of <br />lives and property within the city from fire and other property or life threatening <br />emergencies. The fire department shall provide fire prevention services in accordance <br />with those general policies established by the council. <br />(Code 1978, § 3.15) <br />Sec. 22-2. - Minnesota State Fire Code adopted by reference. <br />Subject to any amendments made by the city, the 2007 Minnesota State Fire Code (MSFC) <br />including Appendixes A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and J is adopted by reference as the city fire code. <br />Such code adopts by reference the International Fire Code (IFC) promulgated by the <br />International Conference of Building Officials and the Western Fire Chiefs Association. One <br />copy of the MSFC and the IFC will be retained on file in the city administrator's office. <br />State Law reference Minnesota State Fire Code, Minn.
