PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION/FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission and Finance Committee conducted a joint meeting on <br />Thursday, July 11, 1996, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Ken Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br />Chairperson Todd Cook <br />Commissioner Reid Droegemueller <br />Commissioner Jill Johns <br />Commissioner Tom LaMere <br />Commissioner Steve Ostrum <br />Commissioner Michael Skinner <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Beth Asfahl <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Dave Chmielewski, Community Development Intern <br />Steve Jankowski, City Engineer <br />Jim Lacey, Maintenance Department <br />Ryan Schroeder, City Administrator <br />Linda Waite Smith, Administrative Services Manager <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chair Cook called the joint meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />PARK COMMISSION/FINANCE COMMITTEE BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Case gl: DISCUSSION REGARDING PROPOSED PARK 1997-2001 CIP <br /> <br />Chairperson Cook explained they have received $120,000 the past three years, and now this amount <br />will be reduced to $72,000 to $73,000. Chairperson Cook explained they were looking for <br />alternative financing to keep park improvements on track. He stated that they have done a good job <br />with the trails and parks, and they need other resources in order to meet their needs.
