CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at the Ramsey <br />Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Jerry Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator, James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the work session of the City Council to order at 5:40 p.m. <br />WORK SESSION TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Transportation Issues-The Tinklenberg Group <br /> <br />Jodi Ruehle, The Tinklenberg Group, reviewed the preliminary report of the first phase of the <br />work completed by The Tinklenberg Group. She explained that the process included gathering <br />information from City staff, MnDOT, Anoka County, and the Met Council to determine the best <br />way to move fov,vard. Another task was to work with property owners along Highway #10 that <br />would be impacted by the realignment of Highway #10 and identify tools and strategies available <br />to the City along the corridor. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook inquired as to how many of the 75 parcels did The Tinklenberg Group <br />meet with. <br /> <br />Ms. Ruehle replied that they had met with eight or nine property owners, but as they move <br />forward they anticipate meeting with more of the owners. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman noted that they had met with all the property owners that spoke <br />during a previous City Council meeting when the Council was discussing the possible <br />moratorium along Highway #10. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session/May 27, 2003 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
