PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, June 6, 1995 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a request for a conditional use permit to store commercial landscaping equipment in the <br />R-1 Rural Residential District; case of Mike Bahn. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the public hearing to order at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik advised that Section 9.11.10 (off-street parking) of the Ramsey City <br />Code states that no more than one one-ton motor vehicle bearing a commercial license shall be <br />parked or stored in a residential district. Pursuant to a neighborhood sweep for Code enforcement <br />purposes, Mike Bahn has applied for a conditional use permit (CUP) to store and maintain <br />commercial landscaping equipment on his property at 14911 Juniper Ridge Drive N.W. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to include the five letters <br />and one phone message received from neighboring residences as part of the public record of this <br />hearing (attached hereto as Exhibit A). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Bahn stated that he has discussed the situation with his neighbors, and he <br />will comply with their wishes. He stated that a one-year grace period to relocate is acceptable. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, LaDue, Hendriksen, <br />and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Holland and Terry. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to adjourn the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing/Planning Commission/June 6, 1995 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
