PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, June 6, 1995 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a request for a conditional use permit to grade and export soils; case of North Fork, Inc. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Bradley Thomd <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the public heating to order at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik reported that the City has received an application from North Fork, <br />Inc. to grade and export soils from Lots 3 and 4, Block 2, Northfork Lake Addition in order to <br />create more attractive building sites. <br /> <br />Dennis Peck, Director of Development for North Fork, Inc., commented that when the house was <br />built on Lot 2, it was shifted to the east of the lot because of mature oaks on the property. North <br />Fork is proposing to strip the topsoil over an approximate two acre area (Lots 3 and 4) and remove <br />and export approximately 16,000 cubic yards of materials in order to create walkout building pads <br />closer to the front of the two affected lots. Mr. Peck stated the exported materials would be used <br />off-site or integrated into the revised grading plan for the lots surrounding the golf course. He <br />noted that the neighbor on Lot 5 has no objections. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Thomd and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to adjourn the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Thorud, Deemer, <br />Hendriksen, and LaDue. Voting No: None.
