PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Wednesday, July 5, 1995 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a request for preliminary plat approval of AEC Energy Park; case of Anoka Electric <br />Cooperative (AEC). <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Ben Deemer <br />Commissioner Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the public hearing to order at 7:34 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that AEC has acquired approximately 138 acres in the southeast <br />corner of the intersection of C.S.A.H. #116 and C.S.A.H. #56, and is requesting preliminary plat <br />approval to plat the property into 10 commercial lots and 1 outlot for future development. The <br />Parks and Recreation Commission met on June 8, 1995 and recommended acceptance of the <br />wetland area and some high ground in the northeast comer of the plat for park and open space <br />purposes; their intent is to develop a trail around the perimeter of the wetland with some picnic <br />sites. Ms. Frolik also noted that the City Administrator received a call from A1 Phillips of Altron. <br />Mr. Phillips is concerned about the proposed alignment of Sunwood Drive and how it impacts the <br />Altron property and he requests that they be given consideration when resolving said alignment. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Terry to adjourn the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Terry, Hendriksen, <br />and Holland. Voting No: None.
