FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 25, 1995, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at <br />6:07 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented but to discuss Case #2 first as Mr. <br />Malloy had not yet arrived to present the Management Report on the 1994 audit. <br /> <br />Case #2: Discussion Regarding Refuse Service to Municipal Facilities <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that Building Maintenance Worker Dan Bray has been obtaining <br />quotes from commercial refuse haulers licensed in the City of Ramsey to provide refuse <br />service to City facilities. Quotes have been received from Walter's, Gallagher's Service, <br />Inc. and Pretzel Sanitation with the lowest bid being from Gallagher's Service. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to recommend <br />that Council approve termination of refuse service with Waste Management of Blaine, <br />effective August 31, 1995, and to begin refuse service with Gallagher's Service Inc., <br />effective September 1, 1995, with the contingency that this will be a 12-month contract. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
