PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> <br />The Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission conducted a regalar meeting on Thursday, April 14, <br />1994, at Sunny Ponds Subdivision, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Ronald Hetland <br />Commissioner Todd Cook <br />Commissioner Jacki Florentius <br />Commissioner Teresa Henn <br />Commissioner Jill Johns <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Commissioner Jay Swokowski- Excused <br /> <br />Ryan Schroeder, City Administrator <br />Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Supervisor <br />Approximately 30 Residents of Sunny Ponds Subdivision <br /> <br />Chairperson Hetland called the Park and Recreation Commission meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />See Case #1. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />GENERAL DISCUSSION OF DEVELOPMENT POSSIBILITIES FOR <br />THE PARK IN THE SUNNY PONDS SUBDIVISION. <br /> <br />The focus of this meeting was to discuss with interested residents potential improvements in the <br />Sunny Ponds neighborhood park. Approximately thirty residents were present. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos reviewed the Prairie District area and the monies available for <br />improvements. A walking tour of the park showed where the proposed improvements may fit <br />within the pmk. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos fielded questions from the residents dealing with soliciting of <br />funds, where to begin with selecting the appropriate play equipment, contacts, costs, etc. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued with the final decision that the neighborhood residents would select Mr. Mark <br />Wilson as their spokesperson. Parks/utilities Supervisor Boos will put together an informational <br />package including general costs, purchasing, shipping, labor costs, and pamphlets of play ground <br />equipment that will be mailed to interested parties within one week. The residents will then meet <br />on April 28 to review the package and decide what park improvements best fit their needs in <br />relation to the monies available.
