I <br /> <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The RamseytPlanning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, February <br />2, 1993 at th~ Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Rarnsey, Minnesota <br />to hear inputiregarding the proposed ordinance to amend zoning district boundaries within the plat <br />of Rivenwieg. <br /> <br />Members Pre,sent: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Members AbSent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Also Present:'. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Project Manager James Gromberg <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the public hearing to order at 7:36 p.m. <br />PRESENTA~TION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that the current plat is zoned B-l, B-3 and R-1. Staff is <br />recommending adjusting the zoning boundaries to coincide with the property as it was platted and <br />retaining the B-! area. Mr. Chapman, representing Faye Construction, is present to propose <br />eliminating th,: B-1 area and zoning all commercial area to B-3. <br /> <br />Bill Chapman,, 365 E. Kellogg BOulevard - explained that at the time of the Preliminary Plat in <br />1991, it was zOned residential in the south and commercial in the north and that the plat and zoning <br />was submitted and recommended to City Council. He stated that B- 1 zoning was not mentioned at <br />that time. Mr~ Chapman commented that there has been no change in the Comprehensive Plan to <br />support the flew staff recommendation. He requested that the Commission confirm their <br />recommendatibn of 1991 -- B-3 Highway Business and R-1 Residential. <br /> <br />CITIZEN II~IPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Co~nmissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to adjourn the public <br />hearing. <br /> / <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, LaDue, Hendriksen <br />and Holland. Voting No: one.
