I <br />i® <br />! <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />! <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing On Tuesday, February <br />2, 1993 at th~ Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard ~.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />to hear input regarding the request for preliminary plat approval of River s Bend 3rd Addition. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Project Manager James Gromberg <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> r <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the public hearing to order at 7:47 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTA~TION <br /> <br />Zoning Admioistrator Frolik stated that the preliminary plat proposal reviewed in 1991 was met <br />with some opposition, and so now the applicants submitted a proposal for a revised preliminary <br />plat which proposes 8 commercial lots and 32 single family lots and eliminates the multi-family <br />units. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Jim Ahlstrom, 14426 Waco Street N.W. - stated that the accesses to Highway #47 would need <br />State approval!and inquired how plat could be accepted if access was not granted. <br /> <br />Chairperson B~twden stated that issue would be addressed. <br /> <br />Dale Pehrson, !14276 Waco Street N.W. - stated concern regarding whether the homes would be of <br />equal value to ~those on adjoining properties. He inquired whether the zoning requirements would <br />be complimeniary to the neighborhood. He referred to what Andover and Elm Creek did, and <br />stated that ho~e value and home equity is important. He suggested that there be no commercial <br />development p,errnitted in Rivers Bend 3rd Addition. <br /> <br />Fred Stretar, 1~4284 Waco Street N.W. - stated Lots 23 and 24 are located at the top of a hill; his <br />home is adjac{~nt to these lots at the bottom of the hill. He stated he would like to see houses on <br />those lots builtiat a lower level to avoid the feeling of sitting in a "fishbowl" on his property. <br /> <br />Chmrperson Bawden stated that developer Art Raudlo was willing to meet with concerned citizens <br />after this hearifig. <br /> <br />Public Hearing/Planning & Zoning Commission/February 2, 1993 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
