I <br />i$ <br />I <br /> ! <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I$ <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public heating on Tuesday, February <br />2, 1993 at th~ Rarnsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />to hear input regarding a proposed ordinance to amend the B- 1 Business District. <br /> <br />Members Pr¢~nt: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Project Manager James Gromberg <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the public hearing to order at 8:21 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENT/~TION <br /> <br />Zoning Admi/~istrator Frolik stated that in accordance with amendments made to the B-3 and B-2 <br />Business Districts, she drafted changes to the B-1 Business District. She explained that as with the <br />B-3 and B-2 Business Districts, the permitted uses have been amended to include those uses <br />already determined acceptable with a conditional use permit contingent upon meeting certain <br />criteria. She ~tatecl those criteria have been converted to performance standards, and added that all <br />properties at'elto be in conformance with site improvements (hardsurface parking and curbing) by <br />January 1, 1,997. She mentioned that when City Council adopted the B-3 District they <br />incorporated a performance standard that the exterior facing finish on structures be 100% other <br />than metal. That standard has been included in the B-1 District also. The Rural Business District <br />has been merged with B-1 and performance standards are based on whether or not sewer and water <br />are available. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Tom Austin, 15510 Traprock Street N.W. - stated he is in the process of purchasing two lots by <br />the way stat~qn on Highway #10 whmh consist of approximately 10 acres currently zoned rural <br />business.
