FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The RamBey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, October 12, <br />1993, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer (arrived 5:48 p.m.) <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: Mayor James Gilbertson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Police Chief Mike Auspos <br />Fire Chief Dave CnJffin <br />Police Sergeant Dave Gustafson <br />Assistant Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Public Works Supervisor Merle Mevissen <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Mark Boos <br />Police Officer Tim Dwyer <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at <br />6:40 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart requested adding Case #lA: Replacement of the IBM AT PC. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Committee was to approve the agenda with the addition. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #lA: Replacement of the IBM AT PC <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that the IBM AT PC used by Linda Aaseby in the Police <br />Department lost communication capabilities with the TI 990. It was taken in for repair and <br />found that repair would cost more than replacement. Ameri Data and Software Tailors have <br />submitted:bids for the computer equipment. She stated that Jeff Arneson is recommending <br />accepting Ameri Data's bid, not just because it is the lower of the two, but because it has <br />everything needed for the network system plus a math coprocessor. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to authorize <br />the purchase of the IBM AT PC from Ameri Data. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Hardin, Peterson and Zimmerman. Voting <br />No: None.
