FIRE BOARD <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Fire Board conducted a special meeting on Monday, November 8, 1993, at <br />the RamsOy Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember SheBa Beyer <br />Boardmember James Sharp <br />Boardmember Robert Simpson <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Fire Chief David Griffin (ex-officio) <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Boardmember Alan Pearson <br />Boardmember Charles Williams <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Fire Fighter Dennis Klotter <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer called the special Fire Board meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />BOARD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Fire Department Tanker <br /> <br />Fire Fighter Klotter stated that bids were received on the tanker and opened on Friday, <br />October 29, 1993. Bids received were as follows: Chassis only ~Iten Chevrolet <br />$46,390,35 plus tax and license, Boyer Ford Trucks $48,400.00 plus tax and license, <br />Lakeland Ford Truck Sales $48,095.00 excluding tax and license and Chelsey Truck Sales <br />Inc. $72,210;00; Truck and Chassis - Toyne $136,550.00 and Truck only - General <br />Safety $44,970.00. Iten Chewolet submitted the lowest bid, however, they did not include <br />a bid bond. The next lowest bidder was Lakeland Ford and they met all the specifications. <br />The cost Of the apparatus portion is $44,970. Mr. Klotter stated the Truck Committee is <br />recomme!lding purchasing the chassis from Lakeland Ford and the apparatus from General <br />safety. The delivery would be in 1995. <br /> <br />Motion by Boardmember Simpson and seconded by Boardmember Sharp to recommend <br />City Council authorize the purchase of the chassis from Lakeland Ford for an amount of <br />$48,095 and the apparatus from General Safety for an amount of $44,970 for a total of <br />$93,065. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmember Beyer, Boardmembers Simpson and Sharp. <br />Voting No: None.
