<br />Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-01-003 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING ANOKA ICE ARENA ASSOCIATION APPLICATION <br />FOR A PREMISE PERMIT FOR LAWFUL GAMBLING AT JACOBS TAVERN IN <br />RAMSEY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Anoka Ice Arena Association has applied for a premIse permit for <br />gambling at Jacobs Tavern, 14077 St. Francis Boulevard, Ramsey; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Anoka Ice Arena Association has requested Council waive the 30-day <br />notice provision; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board Division of the Department of Gaming <br />requires the City of Ramsey adopt a resolution specifically approving or denying the application. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the premise permit application for Anoka <br />Ice Arena Association to operate lawful gambling at Jacobs Tavern, 14077 St. Francis <br />Boulevard, Ramsey <br /> <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council agrees to waive the 30-day notice provision. <br /> <br />3) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator or Finance <br />Officer to sign the application and any other documents required by the Minnesota <br />Gambling Control Board. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Look and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br />
