BUDGET COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Bridget Committee conducted a meeting on Tuesday, January 28, 1992 at the Ramsey <br />Municipal' Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br /> <br />Also Presell[: <br /> <br />CALL TO ~ORDER <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Sandra Ashley Helling <br />Fire Chief Dave Griffin <br />Assistant Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br /> <br />Councilmomber Peterson called the Budget Committee meeting to order at 6:06 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN ~-INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> !, <br />APPRO~ AGENDA <br />Finance Officer Helling asked to add to the agenda Case #10: Fire Department Request to <br />Purchase a~Generator. <br /> <br />Motion by[~our~cilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to approve the agenda <br />with the a4dltion of Case #10. <br /> <br />Motion cat, tied. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Beyer, Hardin and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1::: Report of General Legal and Consulting Engineering Costs <br /> <br />Finance Officer Helling stated this case is presented for informational purposes. She asked the <br />Committe~ to note the significant reduction in legal and engineering costs for the year 1991 as <br />compared to; 1990. <br /> <br />Councilme!'riber Hardin commended Staff for working to keep costs down. <br /> <br />Case #2: Legal Services <br /> <br />City Admi~qistrator Schroeder stated that the firms of,Randall, Dehn & Goodrich and Holmes & <br />Graven submitted three-year proposals. Mr. Goodrich s proposal included an annual maximum on <br />prosecutiori fees for each of the three years. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer expressed a concern about placing a "ceiling" on the prosecution fees. <br /> <br />Budget <br /> <br />Committee/January 28, 1992 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
