<br />FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee met on Monday, September 11, 2006, at Fire Station No.1, <br />15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Strommen called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 6:02 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey and seconded by Councilmember Elvig to approve the agenda <br />as presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Strommen and Councilmembers Jeffrey and Elvig. <br />Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Resolution Regarding $6,000 Water Bill at 14720 Germanium Street <br /> <br />The Finance Committee reported they knew the background of this case well and it wasn't <br />necessary for Finance Officer Lund to recap it. <br /> <br />Ms. Lund noted there were no changes. Connexus Energy has said they will pay nothing toward <br />this bill and they feel they (Connexus) meet the terms of their contract. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig pointed out the Councilmember Strommen was not present at the last <br />Finance Committee meeting and at that time, a representative of Connexus was present who <br />stated that they felt some obligation to the situation. Councilmember Elvig stated he was <br />encouraged by that so this is disheartening to hear that they don't feel any obligation. <br />
