<br />PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Public Works Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 <br />at the Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Gerald ZiIllJIlerman <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmeniber David Elvig <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Director of Public W orkslFire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Assistant Director of Public Works Brian Olson <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Public Works Supervisor Grant Riemer <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Zimmerman called the regular meeting of the Public Works Committee to order at <br />5 :32 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Zimmerman, Councilmembers Elvig, and Cook. <br />Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Consider Establishing Vision Clearance Triangle into City Code <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained at the November 2003 and January 28, 2004 Public Works <br />Committee meetings there was discussion of establishing a vision clearance triangle to enhance <br />intersection safety. In November, the Committee reviewed similar policies and ordinances from <br />twelve nearby communities. At that meeting it was apparent that the River Falls model was the <br /> <br />Public Works Committee/March 16,2004 <br />Page 1 of5 <br />
