Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Community Development Director Amber Miller <br />Human Resources Manager Givonna Reed Kone <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief J ames Way <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:35 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) 2009 General Fund Budget Amendments Due to State Aid Cuts <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that Finance Officer Lund distributed some possible budget <br />amendments to reflect the Governor's recent proposed budget cut for market value homestead <br />credits. He reviewed some of the revenue additions including the possibility of staff engineering <br />time being budgeted back to specific projects; however, this money would be subject to the <br />projects actually moving forward. He stated that the upcoming projects are the outfall to the <br />Mississippi, 167th Avenue reconstruction, Alpine Park watermain and the water tower site work. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund stated that the general government staff time was overstated in the 2008 <br />budget, which is why there is an additional $30,000 reflected here. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session / February 3, 2009 <br />Page 1 of 15 <br />
