<br />Councilmember Look introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #09-01-025 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NOT TO WAIVE ST ATUATORY TORT LIMITS FOR LMCIT LIABILITY <br />COVERAGE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, city staffhas reviewed the impacts of waiving and not-waiving statutory tort limits for <br />liability insurance with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has detemiined it is in the best interest of the City to not waive the <br />statutory tort limits for liability insurance with LMCIT. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey does not waive the statutory tort limits for LMCIT <br />liability c~)Verage. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Elvig, and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Look <br />Counci1member Elvig <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Wise <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th <br />day of January 2009. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Mayor ' <br /> <br /> <br />" <br />
