Ulrich <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Look called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 5 :00 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Consider Proposals for Legal Services. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson presented the staff report regarding the RFP process <br />for legal services. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look expressed concern about prosecution and the level of experience. <br />He inquired are we settling out on cases - are we aggressively pursuing cases. <br /> <br />Staff explained that this is a matter of policy and Council can direct how aggressively the <br />City will pursue prosecutors. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig and seconded by Councilmember Wise to interview the <br />law firms of Randall and Goodrich, PLC and Barna, Guzy and Steffen, Ltd. <br /> <br />Finance Committee - April 14, 2009 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
