<br />FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, April 14, in <br />the Alexander Ramsey Room at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive <br />NW, Ramsey, MN. <br /> <br />Members Present: Chairperson Matt Look <br />Councilmember Elvig . <br />Councilmember Wise <br />Mayor Ramsey (alternate) <br /> <br />Also Present: City Administrator Kurtis G. Ulrich <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Look called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 5 :00 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Consider Proposals for Legal Services. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson presented the staff report regarding the RFP process <br />for legal services. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look expressed concern about prosecution and the level of experience. <br />He inquired are we settling out on cases - are we aggressively pursuing cases. <br /> <br />Staff explained that this is a matter of policy and Council can direct how aggressively the <br />City will pursue prosecutors. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig and seconded by Councilmember Wise to interview the <br />law firms of Randall and Goodrich, PLC and Barna, Guzy and Steffen, Ltd. <br /> <br />Finance Committee - April 14, 2009 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
