Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #10-01-011 RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 08-34 (BITUMINOUS PAVING OF 151 ST AVE, 152ND AVE & FLUORINE ST IN SECTION 24) WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted on June 9, 2008 in response to a petition, a feasibility report for street improvements to 151 st Ave, 152nd Ave and Fluorine Street in Section 24 has been received, having been prepared by Steve Jankowski, Assistant City Engineer; and, WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council adopted a resolution on November 10, 2009, fixing a date for a Council public hearing on the proposed improvement; and' WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was held on December 8 ,2009, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; and WHEREAS, the time available for the receipt of a petition opposing the project has expired; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible as detailed III the feasibility study report. 2) That the City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. 3) That the Engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Look and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Ramsey Councilmember Elvig Councilmember Look Councilmember Dehen Councilmember McGlone Councilmemher Wise and the following voted against the same: RESOLUTION #10-01-011 Page lof 2
