ORDINANCE #10-OS <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 117, WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND <br />SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, <br />MINNESOTA. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 117-1 (DEFINITIONS) OF THE RAMSEY <br />CITY CODE. <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1: AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br />SECTION 2: AMEND <br />Section 117-1 of the Ramsey City Code is amended to read as follows: <br />117-1 Definitions <br />Driveway, means an onsite prepared surface traffic lane, which shall be the traffic lane leading <br />directly from a public street to the primary gazage on the subject parcel; the width of which <br />cannot exceed the primary garage width by more than fifteen (15) feet, or in the absence of a <br />garage, a traffic lane to a parking pad that cannot exceed twenty (20) feet in width. Driveway <br />parking may not extend beyond the front of the primary garage without meeting the performance <br />standards for side or reaz yard parking. (Cannot exceed maximum width at roadway under <br />zoning district bulk standazds). <br />Equipment, commercial use, means a variety of heavy machines, either specifically designed or <br />used for commercial purposes, which perform specific construction or demolition functions, such <br />as hoisting, excavating, hauling, grading, paving, drilling, or pile driving, under power. Trailers, <br />either enclosed or flatbed, 6x12 or smaller are exempt unless they have a Deparhnent of <br />Transportation Certificate or number; trailers used for transport of recreational vehicles and not <br />used for any commercial use are exempt. <br />A licensed, self-propelled vehicle which: <br />a. Has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GV WR) OF 10,001 pounds or more and contains print <br />or logos which advertise a business; or <br />b. Has external modifications to the structure or body, where external modifications are defined <br />as both dealer and non-dealer modifications which result in pick-up trucks that do not have <br />the traditional pick-up truck bed and side walls, and vans that have an expanded cargo area <br />Ordinance #10-OS <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
