ORDINANCE #10-12 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 54 OF THE RAMSEY CITY. CODE, WHICH <br />CHAPTER IS KNOWN AS THE TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES CHAPTER OF THE <br />RAMSEY, MINNESOTA, CITY CODE. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 54-2 (USE OF ROLLER DEVICES IN TOWN <br />CENTER DISTRICT). <br />SECTION I. AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENTS <br />Section 54-2 (a) is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Purpose and intent. The purpose of this section is to protect public health and safety <br />stemming from the use of roller devices in the pedestrian-oriented Town Center District. The <br />city council finds that operation of such roller devices in areas of Town Center creates <br />unnecessary potential danger to either the user of such device or the general public; and that the <br />use of such device may cause destruction of property in the areas described as: west of Ramsey <br />Boulevard, south of Bunker Lake Boulevard, east of Armstrong Boulevard, and north of the <br />Burlingtoh Northern-Santa Fe Railroad tracks. <br />SECTION 3. SUMMARY <br />The following is the official summary of Ordinance #10-12, which has been approved by the <br />City Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the <br />Ordinance. <br />It is the intent and effect of Ordinance #10-12 to amend Ramsey, Minnesota City Code Section <br />54-2 (Use of roller devices in Town Center District) to: <br />• Expand the area for restricted use of roller devices from south of Sunwood Drive to south <br />of Bunker Lake Boulevard. <br />SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE <br />The effective date of this Ordinance is thirty (30) days after its passage and publication, subject <br />to City Charter 5.07. <br />
