SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br />ORDINANCE #10 -14 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 04 -33 TO PROVIDE FOR <br />REIMBURSEMENT FOR COMPUTER AND COMPUTER RELATED EQUIPMENT <br />This Ordinance amends Ordinance No. 04 -33, which is an ordinance authorizing a salary <br />increase for the Mayor and City Council, by adding a provision to allow for computer and <br />computer related equipment reimbursement. <br />This Ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the Home Rule Charter of the <br />City of Ramsey, Section 2.7 and Minnesota Statutes 415.11. <br />SECTION 2. PURPOSE <br />It is the purpose of this Ordinance to provide for reimbursement to the Mayor and City Council <br />for a computer to be used in their performance as members of the Ramsey City Council. <br />SECTION 3. AMENDMENT <br />Ordinance No. 04 -33 is hereby amended to provide for the following reimbursement. <br />The Mayor and City Councilmembers of the City of Ramsey will be provided reimbursement by <br />the City for a computer purchased for use in their official capacity as Ramsey City <br />Councilmembers in a maximum amount of $800 with receipt for proof of purchase of said <br />computer. <br />The reimbursement will be done once per member per four -year Council term. The computer <br />must be purchased within the first six (6) months of the member's term to be eligible for <br />reimbursement as provided in this Ordinance. <br />The computer purchases reimbursed under his Ordinance are the personal property of the Mayor <br />or Councilmember. Individual Councilmembers may refuse this benefit. <br />Only those Councilmembers in office on January 1, 2011 and thereafter will be eligible for this <br />computer and computer related equipment reimbursement. Notwithstanding the preceding <br />provision, a Mayor elect and Councilmembers elect who will take office effective January 1 of <br />any year may be reimbursed after January 1 of any year, for their computer equipment purchased <br />prior to the effective date of the commencement of their term in office. Also, any Mayor or <br />Councilmember in office at the time of the effective date of this ordinance may receive said <br />reimbursement within six (6) months of the effective date. <br />
