CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, January 25, <br />2011, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Members Absent: <br />Also Present: <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember Randy Backous <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Jason Tossey <br />Councilmember Jeffrey Wise <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Deputy City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief James Way <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:15 p.m. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />1) Review Alignment of Staffing with 2011 Council Strategic Goals <br />City Manager Ulrich introduced staffs recommendation on the proposed staff reorganization <br />based on discussions held over the last few days during the Council Strategic Goals sessions and <br />with the Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA). He said this plan addresses the many <br />issues identified during the discussions and allows for staff allocation to high priority projects <br />and issues. <br />Deputy City Administrator Nelson reviewed staff's report. <br />Councilmember Elvig asked if there was any way to replenish the Landfill Tipping Fund for use <br />towards staffing. <br />City Council Work Session / January 25, 2011 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
