Councilmember Wise introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #11 -01 -019 <br />RESOLUTION NOT TO WAIVE STATUATORY TORT LIMITS FOR LMCIT LIABILITY <br />COVERAGE <br />WHEREAS, city staff has reviewed the impacts of waiving and not - waiving statutory tort limits for <br />liability insurance with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council has determined it is in the best interest of the City to not waive the <br />statutory tort limits for liability insurance with LMCIT. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey does not waive the statutory tort limits for LMCIT <br />liability coverage. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Backous, <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Wise <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />and the following voted against the same <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent. <br />None <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 11` <br />day of January, 2011. <br />; _Th <br />Mayor <br />
