ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY TASK FORCE
CITY OF RAMSEY
ANOKA COUNTY
STATE OF MINNESOTA

On Monday, August 4, 2003, the Environmental Policy Task Force (EPTF) met in the
conference room at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, MN.

Members Present:

Chairperson Joe McDilda
Committee Member Michael Max
Committee Member Erika Sitz
Committee Member Sue Dvorak

Members Absent:

Committee Member Margaret Connolly
Park Commission Liaison Michael Rolfe

Also Present:

City Council Liaison Sarah Strommen

CALL TO ORDER

Chairperson McDilda called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA

Consensus was to discuss recruiting members for the EPTF.

TASK FORCE BUSINESS

Case #1

Recruiting Task Force Members

It was noted that Michael Reeve submitted his resignation earlier today. The Task Force was
originally establiahed with 9 voting members and there currently are 5 voting members
(McDilda, Max, Sitz, Connolly and Dvorak) and one non-voting member (Rolfe of Park
Commission). Through some discussion it was determined that the Task Force should go back to
9 voting members, (6 residents, a Park Commission Liaison, a Planning Commission liaison, and
a City Council liaison). Under that proposal, there are 7 persons on the task force (5 residents,
Park Commissioner Rolfe and Councilmember Strommen). Therefore, there are two vacancies:
one resident and a Planning Commission liaison to replace Mike Reeve.

City Staff was directed to post the vacancy and Councilmember Strommen volunteered to
discuss the Planning Commission appointment with City Council.

The consensus was that the Task Force will meet once a month, the first Monday, effective
immediately. The September meeting falls on Labor Day and the meeting will be rescheduled to
Wednesday, September 3. Three consecutive absences could result in termination of the
appointment.

ACTION ITEMS

Ms. Frolik to ask Human Resources Manager to advertise the EPTF vacancy.

ADJOURNMENT
