CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember Randy Backous <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Jason Tossey <br />Councilmember Jeffrey Wise <br />Member Absent: Council Vacancy <br />Also Present: City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Deputy City Administration Heidi Nelson <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Finance Director Diana Lund <br />Senior Planner Tim Gladhill <br />Management/Planning Intern Patrick Brama <br />CALL TO ORDER. <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 7:20 p.m. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />Case 2.5 moved to Case 2.1. The agenda was approved as amended. <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />Case 2.1 Update on Resident Survey for Long Term Road Maintenance <br />Himle -Horner representative Chuck Tombarge was present to go over the key findings and <br />review some conclusions and recommendations: <br />Mr. Tobarge stated they started the survey with some general questions to get them into the <br />issue. The first question was how you would rate the quality life in Ramsey. Ninety -three <br />percent considered their life here in Ramsey either excellent or good. <br />Another question, what they most like about living in Ramsey, was an open ended question and <br />30% responded rural open spaces, quiet and peaceful, small town feel of the city. <br />City Council Work Session / July 19, 2011 <br />Page 1 of 9 <br />
