The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Also Present: <br />10. <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember Randy Backous <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Jason Tossey <br />Councilmember Jeffrey Wise <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief James Way <br />Economic Development/Marketing Manager Aaron Backman <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:55 p.m. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />1) Consider Lease Terms for Dennis Sharp for Properties at 6701 and 6745 Highway <br />Finance Director Lund reviewed the staff report. <br />Economic Development/Marketing Manager Backman stated he discussed lease pricing with <br />other owners, and the average payment amount was approximately $2.00 /square foot. <br />Recognizing the economy has changed, and given the visibility of the business, he stated the <br />$1.97 proposed rate for 6745 Highway #10 is in the average range for this kind of storage. The <br />proposed $1.86 rate for 6701 Highway #10 is also in the market range. He noted there is a <br />church that is showing interest in leasing space at 6701 Highway #10. <br />Councilmember Wise questioned if there is maintenance included in the calculated recovery <br />costs for the City. <br />City Council Work Session / July 12, 2011 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
